<lb ed="#Be" n="31"/>Deinde queritur de hoc quod dicit in
<lb ed="#Be" n="32"/>principio secunde partis in solutione
<lb ed="#Be" n="33"/>sua, ibi, A, § 4: <quote xml:id="alalal-g90126-Qd1e121"> Sed Ambrosius
di<lb break="no" ed="#Be" n="34"/>cit: Haec vera poenitentia est, cessare a

<lb ed="#Be" n="37"/>1. Cessare a peccato pura est privatio :
<lb ed="#Be" n="38"/>et poenitentiam agere est aliquid agere:

pecca<lb break="no" ed="#Be" n="42"/>to ponit actum interiorem anime, licet
<lb ed="#Be" n="43"/>privet actum exteriorem, sicut dicunt
<lb ed="#Be" n="44"/>Doctores de praeceptis negativis. Unde
<lb ed="#Be" n="45"/>sensus est, cessare a peccato, id est,
<lb ed="#Be" n="46"/>velle non peccare. Adhuc falsum videtur
<lb ed="#Be" n="47"/>quod dicunt : quia, sicut supra habitum
<lb ed="#Be" n="48"/>est, poenitentia totam essentiam habet
<lb ed="#Be" n="49"/>respectu preteriti peccati : voluntas
au<lb break="no" ed="#Be" n="50"/>tem non peccandi et respectu peccati
fu<lb break="no" ed="#Be" n="51"/>turi : ergo voluntas non peccandi non
<lb ed="#Be" n="52"/>est vera pceenitentia : ergo mec cessare a
<lb ed="#Be" n="53"/>peccato, ut videtur.

<lb ed="#Be" n="54"/>Solutio. Dicendum, quod si fiat vis
<lb ed="#Be" n="55"/>in verbo Ambrosii, optimum est
ver<lb break="no" ed="#Be" n="56"/>bum et subtile : quia non. cessat a
pec<lb break="no" ed="#Be" n="57"/>cato, qui peccat : unde qui omittit, non
<lb ed="#Be" n="58"/>cessat a peccato. Item, qui transgreditur,
<lb ed="#Be" n="59"/>non cessat a peccato. Est autem
prece<lb break="no" ed="#Be" n="60"/>ptum affirmativum ut poeniteamus, sicut
<lb ed="#Be" n="61"/>habemus, Marci, 1, 4, et Matth. ut, 2!:
<lb ed="#Be" n="62"/>et licet hoc non obliget ad semper,
ta<lb break="no" ed="#Be" n="63"/>men tunc obligat, quando homo peccavit,
<lb ed="#Be" n="64"/>et de peccato recordatur : ergo si tunc
<lb ed="#Be" n="65"/>non poenitet, non cessat a peccato: quia
<lb ed="#Be" n="66"/>non facit quod debet.

<lb ed="#Be" n="67"/>Item, Preceptum negativum est, non
<lb ed="#Be" n="68"/>peccare, non velle peccare, nec in
pre<lb break="no" ed="#Be" n="69"/>terito nec in futuro: et ex hoc
obliga<lb break="no" ed="#Be" n="70"/>tur omnis homo semper velle non
pec<lb break="no" ed="#Be" n="71"/>casse, et ad velle non peccare: et si
<lb ed="#Be" n="72"/>faciat contrarium, tunc non cessat a
pec<lb break="no" ed="#Be" n="73"/>cato.

<lb ed="#Be" n="74"/>Patet igitur, quod.cessare a peccato,
<lb ed="#Be" n="75"/>importat poenitere, et velle non peccasse,
<lb ed="#Be" n="76"/>et velle non peccare : et hac sunt quae
<lb ed="#Be" n="77"/>exiguntur in poenitentia.
