<lb ed="#Be" n="41"/>non fiebat tribus de causis : quarum una
<lb ed="#Be" n="42"/>est, quia natura nostra non est corrupta
<lb ed="#Be" n="43"/>in muliere, quia in illa non fuit tota,
<lb ed="#Be" n="44"/>sed potius in Adam : et ideo in fillis
si<lb break="no" ed="#Be" n="45"/>milibus illi conveniens fuit poni
reme<lb break="no" ed="#Be" n="46"/>dium. Secunda causa est, quod vir
prin<lb break="no" ed="#Be" n="47"/>cipalis est in generatione, et in semine
<lb ed="#Be" n="48"/>viri est virtus formativa, et semen
mu<lb break="no" ed="#Be" n="49"/>lieris est sicut materia formata et patiens:
<lb ed="#Be" n="50"/>et ideo dicunt etiam Doctores, quod si
<lb ed="#Be" n="51"/>Adam non peccasset, sed mulier sola,
<lb ed="#Be" n="52"/>non transfusum fuisset in nos originale
<lb ed="#Be" n="53"/>quoad culpam, sed quoad poenam quae
<lb ed="#Be" n="54"/>vocatur passibilitas nature, non vitium :
<lb ed="#Be" n="55"/>et ideo congrucbat iterum in Adam poni
<lb ed="#Be" n="56"/>characterem obedientia mandate
cir<lb break="no" ed="#Be" n="57"/>cumcisionis. Tertia causa est, ut
ostende<lb break="no" ed="#Be" n="58"/>retur imperfectio sacramenti, et aliud
<lb ed="#Be" n="59"/>generalius et melius exspectaretur : et
<lb ed="#Be" n="60"/>puto quod hac causa melior est.

<lb ed="#Be" n="65"/>deinde serpens quasi cancer corrupit
