pecca<lb break="no" ed="#Be" n="29"/>tum oceultum : sed quod discipuli

<lb ed="#Be" n="37"/>dupliciter dicitur poenitentia manifesta,

peeni<lb break="no" ed="#Be" n="39"/>tentia talis peccati, aut quae manifesta
<lb ed="#Be" n="40"/>est, non ut poenitentia, sed ut factum
<lb ed="#Be" n="41"/>Meritorium ex devotione a stola
sacer<lb break="no" ed="#Be" n="42"/>dotis susceptum. Et primo quidem modo
<lb ed="#Be" n="43"/>Pro occulto numquam debet imponi
pe<lb break="no" ed="#Be" n="44"/>nitentia manifesta, quia hoc esset quo-

<lb ed="#Be" n="61"/>publicum, quod omnes vel multos in
<lb ed="#Be" n="62"/>scandalum traxit, debet publica
peniten<lb break="no" ed="#Be" n="63"/>tia puniri, ut supra in auctoritate
Au<lb break="no" ed="#Be" n="64"/>gustini habitum est in hac eadem
distin<lb break="no" ed="#Be" n="65"/>ctione. Ut si peccatum ejus non modo in
<lb ed="#Be" n="66"/>gravi ejus malo, sed etiam in tanto
scan<lb break="no" ed="#Be" n="67"/>dalo aliorum est, atque hoc expedire
<lb ed="#Be" n="68"/>utilitati Ecclesia videtur Antistiti, in
no<lb break="no" ed="#Be" n="69"/>titiam multorum vel totius plebis agere

<lb ed="#Be" n="72"/>hoc non est publicare confessionem, sed
<lb ed="#Be" n="73"/>potius peccatum emendatione condigna
<lb ed="#Be" n="74"/>punire: ut sicut Ecclesiam deedificavit
<lb ed="#Be" n="75"/>peccando publice, ita emendet publice
<lb ed="#Be" n="76"/>satisfaciendo.
