ali<lb ed="#L" n="145" break="no"/>quid valeat. Et videtur quod non, quia ad hoc

<lb ed="#L" n="147"/>manifestentur sacerdoti cuius iudicio se supponit,

ali<lb ed="#L" n="25" break="no"/>quid diminuit de poena debita, aut statur solum in generali con
<lb ed="#L" n="26"/>tritione & confessione, & adhuc videtur quod tunc dimittantur
<lb ed="#L" n="27"/>peccata venialia: quia minus requiritur ad dimissionem
pecca<lb ed="#L" n="28" break="no"/>ti venialis, quam ad dimissionem peccati mortalis, sed
contri<lb ed="#L" n="29" break="no"/>tio specialis & confessio sufficiunt ad dimissionem peccati mor
<lb ed="#L" n="30"/>talis, ergo minus sufficit pro dimissione peccati venialis, quod
<lb ed="#L" n="31"/>non esset nisi contritio & confessio generalis sufficeret, quare
<lb ed="#L" n="32"/>&c. Hic tamen est aduertendum quod duplex est confessio
ge<lb ed="#L" n="33" break="no"/>neralis, vna sacramentalis quando aliquis in secreto confiretui
<lb ed="#L" n="34"/>sacerdoti peccata grauia quorum meminit, & alia venialia in
<lb ed="#L" n="35"/>generali. Alia est non sacramentalis quae fit coram omnibus in
<lb ed="#L" n="36"/>ecclesia, in prima & completorio. Prima confessio ex quatuor
<lb ed="#L" n="37"/>habet virtutem remittendi peccata venialia quo ad culpam &
<lb ed="#L" n="38"/>quo ad poenam, vel in toto, vel in parte: scilicet ex contritione
<lb ed="#L" n="39"/>confitentis, ex humilitate confessionis, & ex oratione absoluen
<lb ed="#L" n="40"/>tis, & ex vi clauium: sed secunda solum habet virtutem ex
tri<lb ed="#L" n="41" break="no"/>bus primis, sed non ex quarto, quia illi confessioni non
adiun<lb ed="#L" n="42" break="no"/>gitur absolutio sacerdotis, sed solum oratio.

<lb ed="#L" n="43"/>QUANTVM ad tertium dicendum est quod peccatum
<lb ed="#L" n="44"/>mortale vel est totaliter oblitum, eo quod peccator non
recorda<lb ed="#L" n="45" break="no"/>tur se commisisse aliquod mortale: vel est oblitum in
particu<lb ed="#L" n="46" break="no"/>lari, non autem in generali, quia recordatur se commisisse
pec<lb ed="#L" n="47" break="no"/>catum morrale, sed oblitus est quale fuerit. In primo casu suff
<lb ed="#L" n="48"/>cit confessio generalis, quia Deus non requirit ab homine
plus<lb ed="#L" n="49" break="no"/>quam sit ei possibile, sed ei qui totaliter oblitus est peccatum
<lb ed="#L" n="50"/>mortale in generali & in speciali non est possibilis confessio 8&
<lb ed="#L" n="51"/>contritio nisi in generali, eigo illa sufficit. In secundo autem ca
<lb ed="#L" n="52"/>su non sufficit generalis confessio & contritio, sed debet
con<lb ed="#L" n="53" break="no"/>fiteri de peccato oblito tanquam de mortali, ex quo recolit illud
<lb ed="#L" n="54"/>fuisse mortale quo ad genus peccati, & nihilominus debet
do<lb ed="#L" n="55" break="no"/>lere de negligentia propter quam oblitus est peccatum
com<lb ed="#L" n="56" break="no"/>missum: si tamen ad notitiam illius qui oblitus est peccatum
<lb ed="#L" n="57"/>suum mortale quocunque dictorum modorum veniat
pecca<lb ed="#L" n="58" break="no"/>tum commissum confitendum est in speciali, quia cessat
igno<lb ed="#L" n="59" break="no"/>rantia, quae excufabat eum a speciali confessione peccati.

<!--8--> AD PRIMVM argumentum dicendum quod sola
sa<lb ed="#L" n="61" break="no"/>cramentalis confessio fit vt per eam innotescat conscientia
con<lb ed="#L" n="62" break="no"/>fitentis sacerdoti. Et istud debet fieri quotiescunque est
possi<lb ed="#L" n="63" break="no"/>bile quo ad peccata mortalia saltem semel: sed quo ad venialia
<lb ed="#L" n="64"/>nunquam est necessarium, quia nec ipsa ex necessitate cadunt
<lb ed="#L" n="65"/>sub sacramento confessionis. Confessio autem generalis quae
<lb ed="#L" n="66"/>fit in ecclesia a multis in prima & in completorio non est sacra
<lb ed="#L" n="67"/>mentalis: vnde ei non adiungitur absolutio, valet tamen ad
di<lb ed="#L" n="68" break="no"/>missionem venialium modis quibus dictum est.

<lb ed="#L" n="72"/>pliciter contritio & confessio generalis: nec istud est contra
di<lb ed="#L" n="73" break="no"/>ctum Ioannis primo, quia non intendit dicere quin sit aliquod
<lb ed="#L" n="74"/>momentum quo possit homo esse sine peccato mortali &
ve<lb ed="#L" n="75" break="no"/>niali, sed quod vita ista a nullo agitur, quin quandoque incidat
<lb ed="#L" n="76"/>in aliquod veniale.
