<lb ed="#Q"/>est veritas<!--h--> ipsius essentiae et personae et

<lb ed="#Q"/>essentiae et personae: nam unitas antecedit veri<lb ed="#Q"/>tatem;
ergo identitas veritatis supponit et prae<lb ed="#Q"/>intelligit
ante se identitatem unitatis.

<lb ed="#Q"/>Trinitate</title><!--2-->: <quote>Substantia continet unitatem, relatio
<lb ed="#Q"/>multiplicat Trinitatem</quote>. Ergo haec unitas non est
<lb ed="#Q"/>illa.

<lb ed="#Q"/>II. Similiter quaeritur de unitate notionum et<!--k-->
<lb ed="#Q"/>personarum an sit eadem.

ergo eadem est unitas. —- Minor patet: quo<lb ed="#Q"/>:niam
cum in simplici nou differat <mentioned>quo est</mentioned> et
<lb ed="#Q"/><mentioned>quod est</mentioned>, bene sequitur quod si Pater est in<lb ed="#Q"/>nascibilis,
quod sit ipsa innascibilitas, sicut sum<cb ed="#Q" n="b"/><lb ed="#Q"/>mum
bonum est summa bonitas; et sic eadem

<lb ed="#Q"/>ab unitate paternitatis sive generationis, quia haec
<lb ed="#Q"/>notio non est illa; sed unitas personae Patris
<lb ed="#Q"/>non distinguitur a paternitate; ergo non est ea<lb ed="#Q"/>dem
unitas innascibilitatis et personae Patris;
<lb ed="#Q"/>non est ergo eadem unitas notionis et personae.

<lb ed="#Q"/>in summa simplicitate et in ordine naturae, sicut
<lb ed="#Q"/>dicit <name ref="#Augustine">B. Augustinus</name><!--3-->: Cum dicitur Filius a Pa<lb ed="#Q"/>tre,
non ostenditur <quote>inaequalitas substantiae, sed
<lb ed="#Q"/>ordo naturae</quote>. Summa ergo simplicitas cogit eam<lb ed="#Q"/>dem
esse unitatem essentiae et personae secun<lb ed="#Q"/>dum
rem. Ordo vero naturae, secundum quem
<lb ed="#Q"/>numerantur personae divinae, cogit unitatem es<lb ed="#Q"/>sentiae
et personae differre ratione tali, scilicet
<lb ed="#Q"/>ut proprium sit unitatis essentiae non distingui,
<lb ed="#Q"/>unitati vero personae conveniat distingui<!--n--> et esse
<lb ed="#Q"/>in distinctione. Non distinguitur ergo re persona ab
<lb ed="#Q"/>essentia, quamvis distinguatur persona a persona
<lb ed="#Q"/>ordine naturae sive relatione. Quod amplius decla<lb ed="#Q"/>rabitur

<lb ed="#Q"/>Quod enim essentia non multiplicat Trinitatem
<lb ed="#Q"/>sicut persona, hoc non facit quod persona non
<lb ed="#Q"/>sit essentia, sed<!--a--> quod alia ratione dicitur per<lb ed="#Q"/>sona
et essentia: persona enim respicit ordinem
<lb ed="#Q"/>naturae in divinis, essentia non. Ille autem ordo
<lb ed="#Q"/>naturae, qui est ibi secundum rationem principii
<lb ed="#Q"/>et eius quod est de principio, ibi facit distinctio<lb ed="#Q"/>nem
personalem. Et hoc est quod dicit <name>Boe<lb ed="#Q"/>thius</name><!--1-->
quod <quote>substantia continet unitatem, re<lb ed="#Q"/>latio
multiplicat Trinitatem</quote>.

<lb ed="#Q"/>II. Ad illud quod quaeritur de identitate per<lb ed="#Q"/>sonarum
et notionum dicendum: sicut dictum est<!--2-->
<lb ed="#Q"/>ex parte personarum, quod plures personae sunt
<lb ed="#Q"/>una essentia, eodem modo plures notiones sunt
<lb ed="#Q"/>una<!--b--> persona in re, licet sit differentiae ratione;
<lb ed="#Q"/>unde omnes notiones<!--d-->, quae sunt ex parte Pa<lb ed="#Q"/>tris,
sunt ipsa persona Patris in re. Licet ergo
<lb ed="#Q"/>notio a notione distinguatur, hoc non est propter
<lb ed="#Q"/>hoc quod utraque notio non sit ipsa persona, sed
<lb ed="#Q"/>propter aliam causam; sicut non distinguitur per<lb ed="#Q"/>sona
a persona, quia utraque non sit<!--e--> essentia,
