<lb ed="#Q"/>Consequenter quaeritur de differentia corrup<lb ed="#Q"/>tionis
quae est per veniale et mortale.
</p>

<lb ed="#Q"/>Obicitur ergo sic: 1. Peccatum veniale<!--k--> non
<lb ed="#Q"/>tollit gratiam: existente veniali, nihilominus est
<lb ed="#Q"/>potentia in suo complemento; sed quamdiu forma
<lb ed="#Q"/>ultima est in sua materia secundum suum com<lb ed="#Q"/>plementum<!--l-->,
non est dicere quod removeatur ali<lb ed="#Q"/>quid
de dispositionibus mediis inter materiam et
<lb ed="#Q"/>formam ultimam; videtur ergo quod peccatum
<lb ed="#Q"/>veniale nihil diminuat de habilitatibus<!--m-->, quae sunt
<lb ed="#Q"/>modus, species et ordo.

sunt; ergo et poenae. —— Quod patet:
<lb ed="#Q"/>quia<!--n--> sicut se habet veniale ad suam poenam,
<lb ed="#Q"/>ita mortale ad suam; ergo permutatim, sicut ve<lb ed="#Q"/>niale
ad mortale, ita poena huius ad poenam il<lb ed="#Q"/>lius;
sed si diminutio, quae fit per veniale, ali<lb ed="#Q"/>quid
diminuit de bono naturae: ergo illa, quae fit
<cb ed="#Q" n="b"/>
<lb ed="#Q"/>per peccatum mortale, in infinitum est maior;
<lb ed="#Q"/>sive ergo bonum, quod diminuitur, finitum sit
<lb ed="#Q"/>sive infinitum, aut erit dicere quod totum potest
<lb ed="#Q"/>tolli per peccatum mortale aut quod<!--o--> veniale nihil
<lb ed="#Q"/>diminuit aut quod proportionalis est poena mor<lb ed="#Q"/>talis
poenae venialis. Quod si<!--p--> sit ita, videtur Deus
<lb ed="#Q"/>iniustus, cum ipsa peccata improportionalia sint,
<lb ed="#Q"/>et ita poenae deberent esse improportionales.

<lb ed="#Q"/>[Solutio]: Ad quod dicimus quod peccatum
<lb ed="#Q"/>mortale duo facit, quia vulnerat in naturalibus et
<lb ed="#Q"/>spoliat<!--q--> gratuitis. Quantum ergo ad ultimum
<lb ed="#Q"/>effectum dicimus quod nullo modo convenit ve<lb ed="#Q"/>niale
cum mortali; quantum ad primum conve<lb ed="#Q"/>nit
cum illo, quamvis non sonet in tantum ut
<lb ed="#Q"/>vulnerare dicatur. Secundum hoc solet<!--r--> dici
<lb ed="#Q"/>quod veniale facit nemini mortale vulnus. Dicit
<lb ed="#Q"/>etiam <name ref="#GregoryGreat">Gregorius</name>, in <title>Moralibus</title><!--3-->, quod veniale
<lb ed="#Q"/>obscurat, mortale caligat. Secundum hoc dicimus
<lb ed="#Q"/>quod veniale disponit ut mortale subintret, non

<lb ed="#Q"/>tamen quod aliquando possit veniale fieri mor<lb ed="#Q"/>tale;
cum enim veniale sit appetendo aliquid sub
<lb ed="#Q"/>Deo, mortale supra Deum, nunquam hoc potest
<lb ed="#Q"/>crescere in tantum ut fiat illud. Sed dicimus:
<lb ed="#Q"/>quemadmodum si duo ligna essent fortiter con<lb ed="#Q"/>iuncta
et aliquid faceret minus fortiter cohaerere,
nunquam tamen separare, aliud<!--a--> autem separa<lb ed="#Q"/>ret
omnino illa ab invicem, sic dicimus de veniali
<lb ed="#Q"/>et- mortali, veniale enim, secundum quod huius<lb ed="#Q"/>modi,
facit potentiam minus fortiter se tenere cum
<lb ed="#Q"/>gratia, non tamen potest separare, mortale autem
<lb ed="#Q"/>omnino separat.

<lb ed="#Q"/>proportionales diminutiones factae per veniale et

<lb ed="#Q"/>mortale, dicimus quod non. Una enim fit prae<lb ed="#Q"/>sente
gratia nec aliquo modo separat potentiam
<lb ed="#Q"/>a gratia, sed solum facit ut minus fortiter cohae<lb ed="#Q"/>reat;
alia vero fit<!--b--> absente gratia et semper
<lb ed="#Q"/>magis et magis elongat potentiam a gratia: et
<lb ed="#Q"/>ita non sunt eiusdem generis diminutiones, et ideo
<lb ed="#Q"/>neque comparabiles<!--c-->.
