autem generandi sive intelligendi nullo modo

ratio potentiae in Deo hinc et inde. — Item,
<lb ed="#Q"/>potentia generandi non est potentia ad <mentioned>quid</mentioned>, sed
<mentioned>ad aliquid</mentioned>, quia generare non est <mentioned>quid</mentioned>, sed
<mentioned>ad aliquid</mentioned><!--a-->; sed potentia creandi est potentia

et generandi et creandi erunt differentes
<lb ed="#Q"/>secundum essentiam. Ergo cum in Patre sit po<lb ed="#Q"/>tentia
et generandi et intelligendi et creandi, in
<lb ed="#Q"/>Filio vero solum potentia intelligendi et creandi<!--c-->,
<lb ed="#Q"/>sed<!--d--> non generandi: relinquitur quod aliqua po<lb ed="#Q"/>tentia
est-in Patre quae non est in Filio; quod
<lb ed="#Q"/>est falsum. Relinquitur ergo quod non est aequi<lb ed="#Q"/>voce
dicta potentia, cum dicitur potentia gene<lb ed="#Q"/>randi,
intelligendi et creandi.

<lb ed="#Q"/>Solutio: Potentia non dicitur in Deo aequivoce,
<lb ed="#Q"/>cum dicitur potentia generandi et intelligendi et
<lb ed="#Q"/>creandi, sed analogice, hoc est per prius et po<lb ed="#Q"/>sterius
secundum rationem intelligentiae. Ratio
<lb ed="#Q"/>vero<!--e--> intentionis divinae potentiae secundum ana<lb ed="#Q"/>logiam
est haec: potentia divina est potentia cuius

<lb ed="#Q"/>est actus per se. Per hoc quod dicitur <mentioned>per se</mentioned>
<lb ed="#Q"/>separatur intentio potentiae in Deo ab intentione
<lb ed="#Q"/>potentiae creaturae, quae, sive dicatur activa sive
<lb ed="#Q"/>passiva, non est principium ad actum <mentioned>per se</mentioned>.

substantiam, sed per modum actus; po<lb ed="#Q"/>tentia
vero dicta ad actum qui est generare, est
<lb ed="#Q"/>actus qui est de substantia: generare enim<!--g--> di<lb ed="#Q"/>cit
actum productionis de divina substantia, tamen
<lb ed="#Q"/>generare dicit relationem per modum actus; po<lb ed="#Q"/>tentia
vero dicta ad actum, qui est creare, est
<lb ed="#Q"/>potentia actus, qui non est de divina substantia,
<lb ed="#Q"/>sed de nihilo: creatio enim est de nihilo<!--1-->. Se<lb ed="#Q"/>cundum
hoc ergo quod dicitur <mentioned>potentia actus</mentioned>,
<lb ed="#Q"/>dicitur per prius et posterius de potentia intelli<lb ed="#Q"/>gendi,
generandi et creandi secundum intelligen<lb ed="#Q"/>tiam
rationis; quod vero dicitur <mentioned>per se</mentioned>, excludit
<lb ed="#Q"/>indigentiam motoris vel agentis, sicut est in po<lb ed="#Q"/>tentia
passiva, et indigentiam materiae et perfec<lb ed="#Q"/>tionis
ulterioris, sicut est in potentia activa crea<lb ed="#Q"/>turae<!--h-->.
Una igitur est potentia, cum dicitur po<lb ed="#Q"/>tentia
intelligendi, generandi<!--i-->, creandi, sed per
