ad essentiam quantum ad simplicita<lb ed="#Q"/>tem.
Quaeritur ergo an maior sit simplicitas es<lb ed="#Q"/>sentiae
quam hypostasis vel e converso.

essentiae: a. Quia in ratione hypostasis

<lb ed="#Q"/>Unde non ita intelligit, quia ita<!--p--> sit in re, sed
<lb ed="#Q"/>quia defectibilis est et compositus nec potest

<lb ed="#Q"/>intelligere sive<!--q--> accipere sicut est in re; unde
<lb ed="#Q"/>defectus suus est causa huiusmodi et non alia
<lb ed="#Q"/>differentia vel additio quae possit poni ex parte
<lb ed="#Q"/>rei: intellectus enim capit secundum suam pos<lb ed="#Q"/>sibilitatem
et imperfectionem, et non secundum

<lb ed="#Q"/>rem unitas essentiae et unitas hypostasis non dis<lb ed="#Q"/>cernuntur,
quia haec unitas est illa nec compo<lb ed="#Q"/>sitior<!--t-->
est illa; tamen secundum nominis rationem,
<lb ed="#Q"/>quae provenit ex parte nostri intellectus, discer<lb ed="#Q"/>nuntur.
Si ergo loquamur de unitate nominis
<lb ed="#Q"/>quantum ad definitionem, amplior est unitas in
<lb ed="#Q"/>hoc nomine<!--u--> <mentioned>essentia</mentioned> quam in hoc nomine
<lb ed="#Q"/><mentioned>hypostasis</mentioned>, quia <mentioned>hypostasis</mentioned> ponit rem subsi<lb ed="#Q"/>stentem
in rectitudine, <mentioned>essentia</mentioned> in obliquitate.
<lb ed="#Q"/>Si vero loquamur de nominis unitate quantum
<lb ed="#Q"/>ad proprietatem significandi, amplior est unitas
<lb ed="#Q"/>in nomine <mentioned>hypostasis</mentioned> quantum ad significandi
<lb ed="#Q"/>proprietatem, quod significat rem cum proprietate
<lb ed="#Q"/>incommunicabili, quam in nomine <mentioned>essentiae</mentioned>,
<lb ed="#Q"/>quod significat rem in nomine communi<!--v-->. — Et
