<lb ed="#Q"/>ostenderet qualiter sit lapsus, neque lapsum eius

primam institutionem hominis oportuit ut

<lb ed="#Q"/>tamen ex hoc sequitur quod materia divinae Scrip<lb ed="#Q"/>turae
non sint opera reparationis, quia summa
<lb ed="#Q"/>causa, quae Deus est, declaratur per opus repara<lb ed="#Q"/>tionis,
per virtutem Christum, sicut dictum est<!--10-->, ut
<lb ed="#Q"/>in operatione cognoscamus virtutem et in virtute
<lb ed="#Q"/>divinitatem, <title>Rom.</title> 1, 20: <quote>Invisibilia Dei</quote>, scilicet

<lb ed="#Q"/>facta sunt</quote>. — Nota ergo secundum <name>Hugonem</name><!--11-->
<lb ed="#Q"/>quod <quote>opus conditionis est creatio mundi cum
<lb ed="#Q"/>omnibus elementis suis; opus vero restaurationis
est incarnatio Verbi cum omnibus sacramentis

circa res et signa: dicendum quod res et
<lb ed="#Q"/>signa sunt materia circa quam est sacra Scrip<lb ed="#Q"/>tura,
non materia de qua est; et ideo conve<pb ed="#Q" n="7"/><cb ed="#Q" n="a"/><lb ed="#Q"/>nienter
dixit, iuxta <name ref="#Augustine">B. Augustinum</name><!--1-->, materiam
<lb ed="#Q"/>sacrae Scripturae <quote>circa res et signa<!--a--> versari</quote>.
<lb ed="#Q"/>Materia vero de qua est sacra Scriptura est di<lb ed="#Q"/>vina
substantia cognoscenda per, Christum in
<lb ed="#Q"/>opere reparationis. Quemadmodum est dicere de
<lb ed="#Q"/>Philosophia Prima quod materia circa quam est
<lb ed="#Q"/>sunt omnia - unde et dicitur esse de omnibus,
<lb ed="#Q"/>quia est circa ens secundum omnem sui diffe<lb ed="#Q"/>rentiam,
secundum differentes<!--b--> divisiones entis,
<lb ed="#Q"/>scilicet ens potentia, ens actu, ens unum et multa,
<lb ed="#Q"/>ens substantia et accidens, et huiusmodi - ma<lb ed="#Q"/>teria
vero de qua intentio, est<!--c--> ens actu unum,
<lb ed="#Q"/>quod est substantia prima, a qua omnia depen<lb ed="#Q"/>dent:
ita per quemdam, modum materia circa
<lb ed="#Q"/>quam est sacra Scriptura, sunt res et signa; ma<lb ed="#Q"/>teria
vero de qua principalis intentio, est illa
<lb ed="#Q"/>quae dicta est.

<lb ed="#Q"/>4. Ad illud vero quod obicitur de unitate
<lb ed="#Q"/>scientiae quae<!--d--> non est rerum et signorum: re<lb ed="#Q"/>spondendum<!--e-->
quod hoc est ubi est separata ra<lb ed="#Q"/>tio
considerationis rei et signorum. Hic vero non
<lb ed="#Q"/>separatur consideratio, cum sit relatio considera<lb ed="#Q"/>tionis
ad unum, quod est reformatio hominis ad
<lb ed="#Q"/>similitudinem Dei<!--2--> seu conformatio hominis ad
<lb ed="#Q"/>Deum per opus<!--f--> reparationis a Christo.

non tamen secundum rationes differentes
<lb ed="#Q"/>omnium, sed secundum unam rationem, quae est
<lb ed="#Q"/>ut homo reparatus per sacramenta incarnationis,

<lb ed="#Q"/>per utenda perveniat ad fruenda, quae sunt Pa<lb ed="#Q"/>teret
Filius et Spiritus Sanctus, incommutabile

<lb ed="#Q"/>non tamen de omnibus secundum omnem<!--k--> mo<lb ed="#Q"/>dum

unum proprium modum et rationem quae

Quemadmodum enim in virtutibus quae
<lb ed="#Q"/>sunt in finem, ut fides, spes, caritas, idem est
<lb ed="#Q"/>materia sive obiectum<!--m--> et finis, ut fides mate-<lb ed="#Q"/>riam
et finem habet summum verum, credens
<lb ed="#Q"/>ipsum summum verum propter summum verum;
<lb ed="#Q"/>et caritas similiter amat summum bonum propter
<lb ed="#Q"/>summum bonum — non autem sic est in virtutibus
<lb ed="#Q"/>quae sunt eorum quae sunt ad finem, ut in<!--n-->
<lb ed="#Q"/>iustitia et fortitudine, immo est alia materia vir<lb ed="#Q"/>tutis,
alius finis; fortitudinis enim materia sunt
<lb ed="#Q"/>ardua et difficillima, sed finis est summum bo<lb ed="#Q"/>num:
tolerat enim et aggreditur difficilia propter
<lb ed="#Q"/>summum bonum - similiter est<!--o--> dicere de scien<lb ed="#Q"/>tia
quae est in finem, quae est sacra Scriptura,
<lb ed="#Q"/>quoniam idem habet pro materia et fine. Unde
