poterant ductu rationis, multo fortius ipsa

<lb ed="#Qb"/>post non-esse absolute, tunc adventus eius a
<lb ed="#Qb"/>causa erit creatio, et hic est dignior omnibus
<lb ed="#Qb"/>modis dandi esse, quia privatio remota est om<lb ed="#Qb"/>nino
et inducitur esse. Sed si ponatur privatio
<lb ed="#Qb"/>taliter quod esse praecedat eam, tunc generatio

Creatoris, in quantum est Creator.

<lb ed="#Qb"/>terrae</quote>; sed ea quae fidei sunt, supera rationem
<lb ed="#Qb"/>sunt; non ergo ex ductu rationis est pervenire

quod creatio est ex nihilo? ratio enim non

<lb ed="#Qb"/>Respondendum<!--g--> est quod est triplex cognitio:
<lb ed="#Qb"/>per inspirationem, per<!--h--> Scripturarum declaratio<lb ed="#Qb"/>nem,
per<!--i--> operum revelationem. Omnibus istis
<lb ed="#Qb"/>modis contingit venire in cognitionem creationis<!--k-->.
<lb ed="#Qb"/>Per inspirationem fidei, cum fides ponat creatio<lb ed="#Qb"/>nem;
item per Scripturarum divinarum inspectio<lb ed="#Qb"/>nem,
quae est ex Lege, Prophetis et<!--l--> Evangelio;
<lb ed="#Qb"/>per operum revelationem: nam revelatio operum
<lb ed="#Qb"/>indicat omnipotentiam esse in Deo, omnipotentia
<lb ed="#Qb"/>vero ponit creationem, scilicet productionem de
<lb ed="#Qb"/>nihilo. Nam si non posset producere nisi ex ali<lb ed="#Qb"/>quo,
non esset omnipotentia, cum maior potentia<!--m-->
<lb ed="#Qb"/>possit intelligi secundum veritatem, et ita<!--n--> alia
<lb ed="#Qb"/>non esset omnipotentia. Praeterea, potentia alli<lb ed="#Qb"/>gata
materiae non esset omnipotentia; creatio
<lb ed="#Qb"/>ergo est actus omnipotentiae. Quod autem quidam
<lb ed="#Qb"/>philosophi non pervenerunt ad cognitionem crea<lb ed="#Qb"/>tionis,
hoc est quia non ascenderunt ultra ratio<lb ed="#Qb"/>nem
materiae. Quod etiam pervenerunt tum ex
<lb ed="#Qb"/>Scripturis, tum ex operum considerationibus, pa<lb ed="#Qb"/>tet
per hoc quod dicitur in <title>VII libro Confessio<lb ed="#Qb"/>num</title><!--6-->,
