<lb ed="#Qc"/>Dicto de extinctione concupiscentiae<!--p--> prout est
<lb ed="#Qc"/>fomes, octavo dicendum est de comparatione
<lb ed="#Qc"/>ipsius concupiscentiae ad stimulum carnis et ad ea
<lb ed="#Qc"/>cum quibus videtur habere convenientiam. Habet
<lb ed="#Qc"/>enim quasdam rationes ex parte animae, quasdam
<lb ed="#Qc"/>ex parte carnis, quasdam ex parte coniuncti.

<lb ed="#Qc"/>quamdam oppositionem habet ad virtutem; cor<lb ed="#Qc"/>ruptio,
propter diminutionem boni naturalis; lan<lb ed="#Qc"/>guor,
propter inveterationem in illa: et hoc est
<lb ed="#Qc"/>in comparatione ad bonum. In comparatione vero
<lb ed="#Qc"/>ad malum, dicitur infirmitas propter impotentiam

<lb ed="#Qc"/>resistendi motibus malis; foeditas, propter inqui<lb ed="#Qc"/>nationem
sordium spiritualium; pronitas<!--t-->, prop<lb ed="#Qc"/>ter

sit contra potentiam, foeditas contra pulcritu<lb ed="#Qc"/>dinem,
pronitas contra dispositionem ad bonum.

peccatum; dicitur lex membrorum, quia dat
<lb ed="#Qc"/>quamdam aptitudinem ad mala quae fiunt per
<lb ed="#Qc"/>membra; tyrannus, quia dominatur violenter in
<lb ed="#Qc"/>quibusdam membris; dicitur etiam fomes, quia
<lb ed="#Qc"/>fovet peccatum, secundum quod dicitur fomes
<lb ed="#Qc"/>in carne, ut ex carne foveat peccatum in anima;
<lb ed="#Qc"/>dicitur etiam stimulus carnis, quia stimulat ad
<lb ed="#Qc"/>peccatum.
