<lb ed="#Qc"/>Habitum est supra de adulatione et iactantia, quae sunt contra rectitudinem in
<lb ed="#Qc"/>laude; consequenter<!--a--> dicendum est de peccato quod est<!--b--> contra rectitudinem
<lb ed="#Qc"/>in vituperio. Est autem peccatum contra proximum et est peccatum contra
<lb ed="#Qc"/>Deum. Peccatum vero contra proximum aut est imprecans<!--c--> poenam, et illud est male<lb ed="#Qc"/>dictum;
aut est improperans culpam, et hoc contingit<!--d--> dupliciter: vel occulte, et dicitur
<lb ed="#Qc"/>detractio; vel manifeste, et dicitur contumelia. Peccatum vero contra Deum dicitur blas<lb ed="#Qc"/>phemia.
Nec est tertiae differentia peccati in vituperio: nullus enim intendit contra se
<lb ed="#Qc"/>ipsum per<!--f--> vituperium; ex corruptione enim humanae naturae tendit homo in laudem
<lb ed="#Qc"/>sui, non in vituperium sui, sicut homo ex natura<!--g--> inclinatur in dilectionem sui, non in

<lb ed="#Qc"/>Dicendum est ergo primo de iis peccatis quae sunt in proximum per improperium<!--h-->

<lb ed="#Qc"/>deinde per imprecationem poenae;
<lb ed="#Qc"/>ultimo de peccato quod est in Deum, quod est blasphemia, ut quasi gradatim

<lb ed="#Qc"/>Primo autem dicamus de contumelia, in qua manifeste improperatur alicui: haec<!--i-->
<lb ed="#Qc"/>enim est a cuius<!--k--> nocumento magis caveri potest;
<lb ed="#Qc"/>secundo, de detractione, in qua occulte fit vituperium.
<lb ed="#Qc"/>Primo ergo quaerendum est quid sit contumelia et utrum contumelia sit idem

<lb ed="#Qc"/>secundo, si contumelia est peccatum mortale semper aut<!--l--> aliquando veniale;
<lb ed="#Qc"/>tertio, si sustinenda est contumelia;
