minoris et vult videri potestatis maioris,

quae non vult subiacere<!--c--> superiori,

apparere probitatis maioris, appetit apparen<lb ed="#Qc"/>tem
probitatem non solum inter bonos, sed etiam

<lb ed="#Qc"/>duo vitia: hypocrisim, qua simulatione sanctitatis

et contumacia non ponuntur filiae inanis

nolens subiacere potestatibus superioribus

superioribus aufert<!--i--> irreverentia; debitum

<lb ed="#Qc"/>iactantia sumitur large pro qualicumque modo
<lb ed="#Qc"/>ostentationis propriae potestatis, et ita sumpta
est in numero filiarum; vel stricte, secundum
<lb ed="#Qc"/>quod ista tria distinguuntur, ostentatio, arrogan<lb ed="#Qc"/>tia,
iactantia, ut ostentatio in facto, iactantia in
<lb ed="#Qc"/>verbo, arrogantia in falso, cum scilicet aliquis
<lb ed="#Qc"/>ostentat<!--c--> se habere quod non habet, et haec tria
<lb ed="#Qc"/>sub praeposita iactantia comprehenduntur.

<lb ed="#Qc"/>et insolentia non sunt specialia peccata, sed
<lb ed="#Qc"/>status peccati, maxime hypocrisis: hypocrita
<lb ed="#Qc"/>enim est in principio singularis, in perfectione
<lb ed="#Qc"/>hypocrisis insolens appetit esse. Est autem sin<lb ed="#Qc"/>gularitas
simulatio, qua, communi vita relicta,
<lb ed="#Qc"/>privata affectantur vel<!--d--> quaeruntur; insolentia
<cb ed="#Qc" n="b"/>
<lb ed="#Qc"/>vero<!--e--> verborum, factorum, gestuum, habituum
<lb ed="#Qc"/>praeter communem<!--f--> usum specificatio. In prin<lb ed="#Qc"/>cipio
ergo hypocrita singularis est, ut per hoc
<lb ed="#Qc"/>sua apparens bonitas discernatur; in fine in<lb ed="#Qc"/>solens,
ut<!--g--> ex specificatione singulari singulariter

<lb ed="#Qc"/>4. Ad quartum dicendum quod rebellio ad
<lb ed="#Qc"/>pertinaciam reducitur: est enim rebellio repu<lb ed="#Qc"/>gnans
pertinacia correctioni<!--h--> et disciplinae.

<lb ed="#Qc"/>distinguemus, ut dicamus contentionem esse con<lb ed="#Qc"/>tradictionem
cum apparenti ratione, discordiam

virtutis laudari desiderat, non est dubium
