<lb ed="#Qc"/>1. Si enim amor sui non aliud sit quam<!--b--> dili<lb ed="#Qc"/>gere
se, cum diligeret se ex caritate contingat,
<lb ed="#Qc"/>amor indebitus esset ex caritate. — Praeterea,
amor sui est ex natura; distinguuntur autem ab
<lb ed="#Qc"/>invicem velle naturae et<!--d--> gratiae et vitii<!--1-->; restat
<lb ed="#Qc"/>ergo quod amor indebitus addit aliquid super

<lb ed="#Qc"/>2. Item, supposito quod amor indebitus addit
<lb ed="#Qc"/>aliquid super amorem sui, sicut quidam dicunt,
<lb ed="#Qc"/>dicentes quod amor sui propter se est amor inde<lb ed="#Qc"/>bitus
— sed hoc videtur falsum. Amor enim
<lb ed="#Qc"/>indebitus est in peccato veniali et in peccato
<lb ed="#Qc"/>mortali; sed amare se propter se non est com<lb ed="#Qc"/>mune
utrique: amare enim se propter se est frui
<lb ed="#Qc"/>se; sed frui Deo est opus gratiae gratum facientis;
<lb ed="#Qc"/>ergo per oppositum frui se est peccati mortalis,
<lb ed="#Qc"/>quod opponitur illi<!--3-->; non ergo amare se propter
<lb ed="#Qc"/>se commune est in peccato veniali et mortali.

vel ad<!--f--> inferius vel ad proprium, peccat</quote>.

non ergo amor sui est tota<!--g--> causa peccati.

<lb ed="#Qc"/>[Solutio]: Ad quod dicendum<!--h--> quod amor sui
<lb ed="#Qc"/>est tripliciter. Uno modo est amor sui propter
<lb ed="#Qc"/>Deum, et hoc contingit dupliciter: vel<!--i--> quod
<lb ed="#Qc"/>motus sit formatus ex caritate vel quod sit for<lb ed="#Qc"/>mabilis.
Si formatus, tunc est motus gratiae; si
<lb ed="#Qc"/>vero<!--k--> formabilis, sed non de se formatus, motus
<lb ed="#Qc"/>est naturae. Ex alia vero parte motus ille, qui
<lb ed="#Qc"/>non est propter Deum, aut tollit amorem Dei, qui
<lb ed="#Qc"/>est caritas, aut non tollit. Si tollit, tunc est amor
<lb ed="#Qc"/>indebitus qui est in mortali peccato; si vero
<lb ed="#Qc"/>non tollit, amor indebitus est, qui est in veniali
<lb ed="#Qc"/>peccato. Uterque autem est motus informis, non
<lb ed="#Qc"/>formabilis, et dicitur uterque amor sui plus quam
<lb ed="#Qc"/>oportet; hoc autem est<!--l--> inclinari in se unde<!--m-->
<lb ed="#Qc"/>est vanum, non unde est verum sive bonum.

<lb ed="#Qc"/>[Ad obiecta]: 1. Per hoc ergo respondendum
<lb ed="#Qc"/>est ad primo obiectum quod amor sui dicitur
<lb ed="#Qc"/>dupliciter, secundum quod communiter accipitur
<lb ed="#Qc"/>in triplici amore: naturali, gratuito et libidinose,
<lb ed="#Qc"/>et secundum hoc non est tota ratio amoris inde<lb ed="#Qc"/>biti
amor sui. Alio vero modo<!--n--> sumitur per ap<lb ed="#Qc"/>propriationem,
ut dicatur amor sui in quantum
<lb ed="#Qc"/>est res, vana sive deficiens a summo bono, et
<lb ed="#Qc"/>hoc modo dicitur amor sui amor indebitus.

se propter se. Hoc enim potest esse com<lb ed="#Qc"/>mune
in veniali et mortali uno modo, alio vero

boni, secundum quod est tertia<!--d--> differentia

appropriatur bono apparenti interiori,

enim bonum apparens alliciat indebite,
