The PHPUnit development team announces the immediate availability of PHPUnit 4.5.0. This release adds new features and fixes bugs. A detailed list of changes is available here.
- Out-of-the-Box support for Prophecy
--columns <n>commandline option to set the number of columns to use for progress output.
--columns maxmay be used to use the maximum number of columns available in the current terminal.
--strict commandline option as well as the
strict attribute of the XML configuration have been deprecated. These settings activate all risky tests checks which can be undesired. Use the fine-grained options to activate only the checks you need instead.
Obtaining PHPUnit 4.5
Alternatively, you may use Composer to download and install PHPUnit as well as its dependencies.
PHPUnit 4.5 requires PHP 5.3.3; using the latest version of PHP is highly recommended. The documentation has a detailed list of the PHP extensions that are required to use PHPUnit.
