Weird, I'm pretty sure I added that template when I added that feature. I guess I forgot to git-add :S. Anyway I'm against having comments at all, and Laszlo is working on using Django's comment framework as far as I know. Either way this will be a non-issue.

Comments are useless if they're too old. But it's nice if PKGBUILD is not working and somebody post patch there.

Anyway, I think that it would be ok to remove all comments older than X days.

Patches can easily be sent to the maintainer via email, or bug tracker or other means. I don't think I've ever seen an actual comment in comments. They are always either bug reports ("This package won't build for me! <build output>") or patches. The BBS is there for comments anyway.
