better design for non-shaarliers #142

I tried something here : http://www.tolima.fr/shaarli/

and thumbnails with link. |
@tolima @Vinc3r Hi, I think it's rather obvious to visitors that Shaarl is a link sharing platform, so I see no gain in changing the layout of the links (and putting the URL under the title eats vertical space). However you're right that the blue/green URLs should be clickable. As @sebsauvage currently has no time to maintain Shaarli, we have set up a community fork at https://github.com/shaarli/Shaarli/ and we have already added some fixes and new features and reordered the bug tracker. I've reported the URL problem at shaarli#53 and will take care of this soon. Feel free to report other bugs there, help testing, etc. If you really want to change the layout, you can submit your template at https://github.com/shaarli/templates. It can be enabled by simply changing the May I suggest you close this bug? It would help cleaning this bug tracker. Thanks. |
Thumbnails already are links. |
I insist. I think it's no obvious. Because a title with a text below is pretty close to the design of a blog entry. Especially on the permalink page (only one link). And many people won't understand that the title is a link to another article. (It's come from experience with some friends.) Anyway, maybe the problem can be solved with templates, even if most people won't change the default one. A community fork is a good news ! Thanks. |
When you don't know at all Shaarli and someone (me for exemple) share with you a link with the permalink, it's not obvious that the title is a link and the description is about this link.
May be a better design can fix this problem :
I know I can change the design but my problem is for the other shaarli. And if the default design is change, most of the users don't change it.
