Steps to Reproduce

Customer that purchase a gift in Marketplace and its a resident, cant review, not the purchaser, not the person who got the gift-. This has been reported for years and this problem was never fixed.

Actual Behavior

We had reported this well known bug over two years ago, and apparenly Kurt Linden has closed it by saying its duplicated, but they had never fixed it. We are tired of customers complaining that they cannot leave a review when they gift, not the buyers, not the receivers. See https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/BUG-8275
Now the original one, according to them this one https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/BUG-6878 was closed why? Just because? Because it says Staus: resolved, but it isnt.... this problem persists still.

Expected Behavior

We do hope that you look again into this bug, there is sitll being reported in SL forums by many people, it was never solved.

Other information

The first JIRA opened on august 2014 was closed as resolved, and it wasnt
The second Jira, opened on January 2015 by us, was closed because of duplicated
Both closed by Kurt Linden, none of them fixe still on Feb 2017

As far as I'm aware, BUG-6878 has not been fixed yet.
Note that an "Accepted" status & Resolution on a BUG issue doesn't mean that the bug is fixed. It just means that LL have imported that issue over to their internal "to fix" list.

Yeah that Resolved status is a bit misleading.
Resolved on a JIRA issue in bug doesn't mean fixed - it just means that there's no further Linden action needed on that issue, in this case because BUG-6878 was imported by a Linden to their internal bug queue on August 4th 2014.
From then on Lindens will work on the bugs using their internal JIRA issues, which unfortunately means we get no feedback about when an issue will be fixed etc.

Our internal ticket for this issue is still open and pending a fix; thank you for letting us know that this issue still occurs. I am closing this ticket as a duplicate but our internal ticket will remain open until a fix is implemented.
