Steps to Reproduce

I was in the last stage of buying a cart of items and firefox went into a loop where I couldn't exit or even enter a key stroke locking up my whole system. I powered down and restarted and since then I can buy items and I get a delivery notice but I can't access the contents of the received items folder in the window they are supposed to be displayed in.

Actual Behavior

My contents of the received items folder is no longer displayed in the received items window. It's showing the regular inventory list. See attachment.

Expected Behavior

The lower window of the inventory tab to show the contents of the received items folder.

Other information

I have installed SL on a computer that never had SL on it before and this issue also appears on that system. When I created a second temporary account I was able to buy items normally showing the bug has to be in my account on your servers not on my computers. Originally I contacted the SL Support site they told me to file a report here. See Case #: 01935931

Hello JanaeBlack,

Your Received Items Folder has become corrupted on your account.

This can be fixed/resolved by the Marketplace Dev Team.

Please file a Bug Report through the Second Life Jira Issue Tracker so that the Marketplace Dev Team can fix the issue.

Kind Regards,

Dakota Linden

I also didn't understand the security level question or how it applied so I left it as the default none.

Thought this fixed it but it only lasted less the 1 day before it reapeared.

Heya Janae,

I saw your 2 edits to the temp field. We can't comment on this issue now because its in a closed state, so I hope you see this.
Yes - this problem can come back until the underlying bug is fixed.
You said in the first edit that the steps I gave you worked. I'm afraid you will need to go through those steps again to fix this.
Take care when you are editing inventory within the Recent Items tab that you are not accidently moving the Received Items folder into a subfolder - I don't know if this is the sole cause of this problem but it is likely.

Heya Janae,

There have been quite a few cases of this problem lately - please see BUG-5874 and linked issues.

You should be able to easily fix this yourself actually.
Please can you try the following:

  • Login and purchase the following free item from the marketplace: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Kyle-Linden-Bear-2011-Direct-Delivery/2155126
  • Once the item is delivered, open inventory and go to your Recent items tab.
  • It is probable that your Received Items folder has become misplaced inside another folder, so look inside any folders that now show in the Recent Items tab and see if you can see a normal folder in there named Received Items once the delivery has arrived.
  • If it doesn't show, in recent tab, go to filters and set back an hour or so or reset filters or choose always show folders.
  • If you can find the Received Items folder in Recent Items, drag it into the main My Inventory folder.
  • Then relog

Does this fix your problem?

Your Received Items folder had been moved into a subfolder (due to BUG-5874). This has been corrected and your Received Items folder is now directly under your main /Inventory. Please log in and confirm you are now seeing the expected contents in your Received Items folder. Thank you.

It appears your Received Items folder is in the correct location currently. Are you still experiencing this issue?
