Steps to Reproduce

I went to one of the destination landmarks and then the notification popped up. I can't remember which one.

Actual Behavior

I have 7 notifications that say, "No media plugin was found to handle the "text/html" mime type. Media of this type will be unavailable. I have tried everything to close these. I even cleared my cache and the notifications are still there. I tried to clear all and I can't even get to the X to close them out. Please help.

Expected Behavior

Please look to above.

Other information

I just want to close out the notifications. They are really bothersome.

Heya Trinity,

This problem with the "No Media Plugin was found to handle the "text/html" mime type. Media of this type will be unavailable." notifications being spammed like this can happen if the viewer cannot find the file named slplugin.exe within the viewer install folder.
The most likely cause of this is that your antivirus software has deleted or blocked slplugin.exe.

If you go into your install folder, which by default we be at C:\Program Files (x86)\SecondLifeViewer on your system. You should see a file named slplugin.exe in here. If it is missing then your security software deleted it. If it is present then your security software blocked it.
If slplugin.exe is present, whitelist it with your security software.
If slplugin.exe isnt present, reinstall the viewer but do not launch it. Check that slplugin.exe is now present and add it to your security software whitelist before you launch the viewer.

If you need any further help getting slplugin.exe whitelisted then you should contact Linden Lab support directly at https://support.secondlife.com/contact-support/

Thanks!
