Now, many months later I am told, the problem persists. Today, I tried to setup this new Role Play avatar with Warwick's weapons and found they have all been removed and his stores closed, as he can no longer deal with all the complaints from his customers, that his weapons no longer work properly, due to the bug SecondLife introduced and refuses to fix.
Actual Behavior
We have a very fine programmer and builder in the Role Play & Combat community, named Warwick Falconer. Several months ago I noticed his melee weapons were not performing as expected. I checked into it and found he had already discovered it and had reported it to SecondLife as a Bug, and that SecondLife agreed, but refused to fix the problem they introduced during an upgrade. They (SecondLife) (I am told) call the bug trivial, and will not fix the problem without 1000 complaints.
Expected Behavior
I expect SecondLife to fix the bug, to support the scripters that make our weapons we use for playing here, otherwise why should we come back ?
Other information
Over the years I have seen this programmer reprogram his weapons to fix bugs SecondLife has introduced. Apparently this one is very bad and causing problems in various systems he has created. Perhaps it is so bad this this time he will not ever update or rescript all he has created. This leaves tons of people with dysfunctional weapons they have paid lot of Linden for. Perhaps we should just all stay home or find another place to play.
Am informed SecondLife refuses to fix the bug before getting 1000 complaints, BUG-5962
