Your avatar looking stretched out the way it does should be fixed once your driver is updated to at least the 14.4 Catalyst driver version.
See BUG-5156 & BUG-5139 for this bug.
A temporary workaround to the avatar stretching issue is to go to Me -> Preferences -> Graphics -> Advanced and untick "Hardware skinning".
Once your driver is updated, tick hardware skinning again to be sure this problem is fixed.
You are currently using the 8.17.0010.1063 driver which is the Catalyst 11.01 which is very out of date now.
The situation is not quite as simple as updating your driver to the latest version (the 14.12 catalyst omega drivers) because this driver has a different bug (see BUG-7653) which causes all rigged mesh to be invisible unless hardware skinning is disabled.
Thank you for reporting this issue. This is a duplicate of an already reported issue. Please watch future release notes to confirm resolution of this issue.
