When a region restart or shutdown is planned, scripts have no way to know till it actually shuts down.
calls to llRequestSimulatorData( region, DATA_SIM_STATUS) returns "up" till it returns "stopping" but at that time, no script on the concerned region are running anymore.
If that function would return "shutdown requested" it would be very helpful
Alternatively, this info could also be obtained by llGetEnv( "shutting down" ); as i see no reason to need it for a script in another region
Why is this feature important to you? How would it benefit the community?
We sometime need scripts on a region to be aware that the region shutdown was requested to take some measures like closing operations
Could llRequestSimulatorData( region, DATA_SIM_STATUS) return shutdown requested
