.xcworkspace does not exist.

When running pod playgrounds all the files are created but they claim the .xcworkspace does not exist, even though it does. When opening the playground the error no such module is shown. I am using version 1.2.2 and Cocoapods-1.1.0.rc.2.

Same here with 1.2.2, cocoapods 1.0.1. Sierra and Xcode 8

For the record I am also running Sierra and Xcode 8 (both are app store versions).

What is the way to install @askielboe's fork ? I know I did so in the past to test that it worked but I can't remember how.
