Hello to who's is reading this message. I came here to get an understanding of how possible is to implement a specific release versioning based on a custom git-flow I have in mind for a future application (applied as a branch configuration).
Above this paragraph is the
.releaserc
file I wrote to configure the branches I plan to use in the way that0.X.0
will make a minor update1.0.0
will make the major jumpbugfix
will make only patch updates to the repo's release and npm version...But I found that in case I merged from
0.1.0
tomain
with the messagefix(testDocument): this is another test
semantic's logic took it as a patch update. With this example in mind. Is there a way to handle git's merge strategy where merging one of the branches shown above will execute the version update I need?
If you need more context about my configuration or commit history, I am currently using a test repository to experiment this ideas, but I also provide any information you need to get to the best explanation and learn in the process.
Thank you for your time and help.
