One of the first things I noticed is how limiting and confusing the layout can be when customizing, and its an idea that I've had for awhile. Currently, everything is being smashed into 1 shortcode following only a table format, and pre-formatted strings.
The design can either have 1 Preset or multiple Preset designs. Which would then have a text editor box/section to added whatever HTML elements & CSS styling that the webmaster requires for the design. Parts of the plugin for displaying single line boxes for searching, displaying the map, and displaying the results would have their own shortcodes; aka internal shortcodes.
This makes the plugin fairly versatile when it comes to customization, and it opens it up to a drag-and-drop design concept that could be applied in the future. Reverse compatibility could be a concern, however, I don't see too many complications. It's basically a preset that can be added to the main shortcode as an attribute to utilize instead. Otherwise it would use the other shortcode attributes for styling the layout.
