Apple introducede something called App Translocation which create filesystems that are only readable by one user (which excludes the sensu user)

Example:

CheckDisk WARNING: /private/var/folders/yg/bs40_kd10p1cz53pvfqzpld40000gn/T/AppTranslocation/536652C3-BEDE-4684-96FD-573B6F401152 Unable to read.
