What did you implement:

Updated minimum node version in CI based on a recommendation in #570.

How did you implement it:

Updated the Travis and AppVeyor configurations.

How can we verify it:

Todos:

  • Write tests
  • Write documentation
  • Fix linting errors
  • Make sure code coverage hasn't dropped
  • Provide verification config / commands / resources
  • Enable "Allow edits from maintainers" for this PR
  • Update the messages below

LGTM! I think 10 and 12 is a sensible set of versions to support.
