To reproduce:

  1. Disable adaptation.
  2. Play at least three segments.
  3. Manually switch video tracks.
  4. Seek to 0.
  5. Play up to the point in the timeline when adaptation happened.

Playback will hang. It appears that the old data needs to be removed from the buffer during adaptation.
