Feature Request: Select portion of map (which can then be moved or expanded independently)

At WMATA HQ, one of the planners suggested adding a feature to select a portion of the map, which could then be moved or expanded independently from the rest of the map.

This would be especially useful when re-spacing certain sections of the map without having to delete and re-do the whole section.

If i can give a little feedback, i think it'd be great if you could make a selection and move only that, it'd be very convenient for adjusting the position of elements without erasing them and making them again. :)
