configure: error: invalid variable name: `–prefix'
how to fix this

Please make sure -prefix is typed using English keyboard, e.g. -prefix is in 
ASCII. YOu will get the above error if any of -prefix characters is 
non-printable, non-ascii character. This could happen if 'e'in "prefix" is 
russian.
