  • Working mostly on backend for searching functionalities, including search for users, destinations, and trecipes.
  • Some frontend integration of search bar

  • I will be working on the stretch requirement, which is destination rating upon check off.

  • Spent sometime trying to get api.yml working

What you’ve worked on in the previous two weeks

• Deploy app to heroku and reconfigure calls from frontend to use proxy
• Implement the Destination Page

What you'll be working on in the next two weeks

• UI enhancements to Destination Page
• Set up common logic for front end error handling (show error toaster, 404 page, etc)
• Adding spinners to backend requests and image loading
• Implement landing/about page

Where you might have gotten stuck during the last two weeks

• I had issues with trying to deploy the project, especially around pre-compiling ts into js, there were multiple dependencies issue that weren't too obvious to solve

• Implemented user authentication
• Worked on the front-end: login/signup page and map legend

What you'll be working on in the next two weeks

• Make login page responsive
• Remove login link and change it to user icon

Where you might have gotten stuck during the last two weeks

• Implementing authentication was kinda difficult because I had to read a bunch of tutorials to understand what's is going on

• Working mostly on frontend for search result page, including search page component, css, redux and integration

• Finishing the search page
• Integrate the user component with backend
• UI polish

Where you might have gotten stuck during the last two weeks.

• Originally I thought I could use preexisting trecipe card and destination card modules for the search page, but later I realize a separate model needs to be used and the ticket took longer than I expected to finish.
