ANR when dealing with large rosters

I have a relatively large roster with 1200 contacts. Whenever the application is launched for the first time or restarted due to LMK or Force Stop, the application takes ages to launch. Subsequently after the first launch, the application is fast once it's loaded into the memory. I have attached the traces.txt obtained from the device.
