Bug description
The wrong Contact Name is shown in the Signal Group.
I noticed after sending a message from my Signal Desktop to a Group, that in the message info on Signal Android, the message is 'Not sent' to a contact named Felix:
Since Felix is not supposed to be in that group, I got suspicious. If I go to the group details on my phone, I see 'Felix' as a group member. Clicking on it, and clicking on the name, I see the following:
In my address book (other application on my phone), Felix does not have that number though:
If I do the same on Signal Desktop (Go to group details, click on the contact, click on the name), I see the following:
Notice the different name on the second line (Mirko).
Mirko is indeed the person in my contacts with that number, and Mirko is supposed to be in the group:
But Mirko seems to be no longer on Signal (I cannot find him to do a 1:1 Chat), which would also explain the 'Not sent' for my group message. Felix isn't on Signal either.
This may be nothing more than a coincidence but I had an issue with Threema once, where 'Felix' was also displayed as the contact name for another person.
Steps to reproduce
Not sure how you can reproduce it
Actual result: Felix is shown as contact name instead of Mirko Expected result: Correct contact name is shown for Mirko
Device info
Device: Google Pixel 8 Android version: 14 Signal version: 7.0.2 Signal Desktop version: 7.1.1
