Bug description

Attempting to get an old phone-number connected account back gets nowhere with the SIM card with original E164 number in the phone.

Steps to reproduce

  • Lose account PIN to phishing
  • Attempt re-registration w/ the phone number

Actual result: It is impossible to register - the app would say "try again in 4:10:01, and then when you try in 4 hours and 1 minute, it just says try again in some similiar amount of time, akin to how it is was here:

#13582

albeit it stays the same 7 days, 14 days and so on all the same, never sending any SMS or anything similar.

Expected result: The re-registration would proceed normally with an SMS verification
