  • I have searched open and closed issues for duplicates
  • I am using Signal-Desktop as provided by the Signal team, not a 3rd-party package.

Bug Description

The new desktop menu/titlebar does not behave as a normal titlebar: sometimes it cannot be dragged as it should (for example when moving the window from one screen to another).

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open and maximize Signal window.
  2. Move mouse to topmost pixel of monitor (roughly in the middle of Signal's titlebar).
  3. Press left mouse button, and drag window.

Actual Result:

Nothing happens.

Expected Result:

The window is moved (as happens with any other maximized window when you click in its titlebar).

Note that I described the issue with a drag attempt, but you can also notice it by right-clicking: it should display the window context menu, but does not.

Note that if you click a few pixels lower, the expected result occurs. The issue only happens for the topmost few pixels of the monitor.

I'd like to mention that this issue began after the update that added the dark theme to the titlebar.

Same here, it's a very annoying issue. Using Windows 11, Signal version 5.53
