New phone number does not get synced to linked devices

Today I added a new SIM card with a new phone number to my iPhone and registered the new number in Signal without any problems.

I have one iPad Mini 5 synced to this iPhone via the linked devices function and noticed that Signal settings on the iPad still displays my previous phone number (next to the avatar) without any obvious way to change/update it (except deleting & re-linking the device).

-> Signal should update/sync a new phone number to all linked devices.
