Nick, whom I've been friends with since freshman year of college, celebrated his 29th birthday at Sel de la Terre. Every Wednesday night, the restaurant offers a special four-course dinner for $38 starting at 7PM. The menu is fixed, but they post it in advance on their website. The sommelier pairs each course with a half-glass of wine and talks to each table about why he chose it. After dinner, the sheepish chef also comes out and says hello.
