Hey guys, I'm completely new to working with SVGs and have some difficulties with the union of multiple paths. After editing the file in Inkscape it looks correct but the source suddenly doesn't have a path anymore. Instead it has an "xlink:href" attribute. Before Editing: After Editing: Can I somehow transform this into a path? |

Hello Guys, Due to optimization of SVG, I am facing problem of distorted SVG. I want to set SVGO(MG) higher than before. Is there any way to set SVGO(MG) precision in Inkscape ? |

Hey, i would like to embed an icon into an SVG QR Code, rendered with my library. The library allows to add a "logo space" and position it (almost) freely within the QR Code (currently only supported via PHP's GD extension, aka png/jpg/gif). |

One thing I have a lot of issues with is to figure out how to resize an SVG to make it fit into the 24x24 viewbox, without having the icon look weird or misplaced. Additionally do I not quite get the entire "centering" thing and since I don't use Inkscape (Simply because downloading a software just to edit a single SVG is overkill for me) do I not know any other way to adjust SVG paths properly. |

I am attempting to continue the work done here using Inkscape but am encountering the same issues as mentioned there. |

Just wanted to share a tip. I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to SVG and Inkscape, I were trying to fix a very messy icon, which looked okay but was a mishmash of clipping and strange objects. On https://inkscape.org/forums/questions/tracing-an-outline-of-svg/#c37680 I found the suggestion to use the "fill bucket". That created new objects following the outline of what was visible. I could then select all newly filled areas, copy them and paste in a new empty document, to get a good fresh start. (A suggestion is to use a very different color so you can see which areas has been filled.) |

I've been seeing quite a few questions about working with SVGs from new contributors to the project - so thought it'd be sensible for us to open a discussion on how to work with SVGs. Feel free to ask any questions below, and myself or another member of the @simple-icons/maintainers will answer you as soon as we can!
