Platform

Android

OS version

Android 13

App version

5.8

Current Behavior

All audio messages over 2 minutes long stop playing around 90 seconds in 100% of the time.

First the UI player disappears, and the audio plays for another 5 seconds and then stops. If you tap the progress bar before this moment is triggered, it will continue working for another ~90 seconds and then stop.

Reproduced on 2 different phones, both Pixel 4XL running GrapheneOS.

Expected Behavior

Entire audio message plays.

Steps To Reproduce

1.) Receive audio message over 2 minutes long
2.) Play the message

Relevant log output

This doesn't occur if I'm recording the screen using the native screen recorder - the message will play to completion.
