Functionality issues in latest vrchat update #36
Comments
Yeah, this is something you'll have to bring up with knah or MelonLoader, UnityExplorer doesn't handle any de-obfuscation. Looks like VRChat classes are obfuscated like this now: |
Actually, I guess this could be considered an issue with Explorer, it could be related to how I grab the type using the name. If knah/ML doesn't address this with some kind of fix I will look into it further. |
ML 3.0 uses deobfuscation maps. Try it.

That would be specific to each game though, no? |
Yes, but this issue is only present with vrchat for now, so I would try to address that part currently, once it shows to be a problem on another game, then it'd be worth putting more time into fixing it. |
This isn't really an explorer issue as far as I've seen. GetComponent and any related methods aren't working properly with the new VRC update |
They get them via name, not GetComponent as they wouldn't know the type to
begin with ^

I mean, you know they all derive from the Component type, no? |
Maybe something to discuss in a modding discord then. |
Latest vrchat update switched obfuscation that now has made UnityExplorer fail to get component types, they now show as UnityEngine.Component if they are VRC made components, switch to ML 3.0 and see if you can fix it? /shrug
Lacking this feature has been making development much slower.
