Support scaling the Touch Bar #18
Comments
I don't think that's possible as it's emulating the real Touch Bar, which has a set width. |
Would it be possible to make it scalable/resizable at least? I'm using it in a 4k touch display and the small dimension of the button is a bit frustrating. |
That might be possible. Could maybe apply a scale transform to the view. Not something I personally need, but I welcome a pull request. |
Actually, I don't think this is something I want as it would not be a good experience. The UI would have to be pixel upscaled, which would make it blurry. |
@sindresorhus Could you please re-open this? Please take a look at Switch Control. If you enable it in the preferences and then select System > Toggle Touch Bar you get this: Yes, this is a fullscreen touch bar that is up-scaled to the screen width without pixelation, so it is possible apparently. The problem on Switch Control's implementation is:
I would use it, but I need the touch bar on my 2nd screen and I don't wish to change the main screen, but I like the way Apple implemented the touch bar itself on a visual stance, because it really docks in a way that you even see the dock bar while you switch spaces. However in your and Apple's implementation it doesn't push the other windows away, which is still not perfect, it would be nice if it could really push things away, so nothing can get under it, like a dock that is not hidden. |
Closing as this app is now discontinued. |
