I would be great if there was a way to add sudo: false to the travis yaml file. That way the newer (faster!) docker based infrastructure could be used. I wouldn't be shocked if there's a good way to do this right now, but a scan of the docs didn't point anything out.

Since .travis.yml is autogenerated by https://github.com/SineSwiper/Dist-Zilla-TravisCI, we can't just modify that file ourselves. We'd have to wait for SineSwiper/Dist-Zilla-TravisCI#25 to get fixed first.

I've added support here #29

Set it as the default as I doubt many people are sudoing in their Perl tests
