Instead of showing 20 events per day in a timeline spanning, e.g., a week, that would clutter a lot the visualization, we could group events in an interval so that we would see only one bubble for that interval with a count in it.

The bubble would look just like it is now, but would show "50 events" by default. If elastic/kibana#3090 is resolved maybe more information could be shown on tooltip, e.g., a histogram of events for that interval (15 events are of type A, 5 of type B, and 30 of type C).
Clicking on a bubble would create a filter that would select events from that interval.
A basic: the visualization will certainlyknow the amount of "lines" it has been forced to generate. This calls for a limit to that e.g. 5.. if more than 5 are created then bubble number 6 will say "+10 more" and stop.. upon clicking that the other 10 lines are shown. its very similar toa simple truncate
