Apple's selfsolve website (selfsolve.apple.com) shows an icon for a serial number. These icons are stored in a CDN in a well known location (based on the model identifier). I want to provide a link to the icon, if it's available, as a URI object for easy fetching.

Would someone with access to apple's warranty tools be able to help you work on this issue? I'd be glad to do so...

Well sure! I'll be honest though, I haven't thought of this gem in months. Due to some work stuff I never got around to completing the project that used it. Are you planning on using it? If so, then I'm all for pushing forward and working on this.
