Doesn't work for the following case:

Author name: J.K. Rowling

Search queries:

  • "row" --> Fail
  • "J.K." --> Success
  • "J.K. Rowling" --> Success
  • ". Row" --> Fail

I think it has to do with the "." in the author field.

Live examples as of 18-03-09

Search queries that should be highlighted but aren't:

  • Maid's (Handmaid's tale)
  • ? (Var det bra så?)
  • så? (Var det bra så?) [ only highlights the "s"]
