Over the past few days I've spent TONS of hours trying to improve the public bot to prevent account suspensions, but I realized it's basically not doable. At this point it's literally costing me money to keep the public instance of this bot running (server costs + proxies). There's also a very weird bug going on which could be rooted as deep as an issue with Go's standard net or tls libs themselves, making it incredibly hard to fix... When you also realize aternos can shut all of this down in a blink, it's not really worth it to me anymore to go through all this effort.
So, what now?
The bot is back online on a new VPS. As clearly pointed out by the big bold text in the recently updated README of this project, It will only serve as a DEMO and I won't care if you get suspended if you used it with your main account ¯_(ツ)_/¯.
Regarding development, I will only continue to maintain this project (at my own pace, contributors welcome ofc) with self hosting in mind and will therefore ignore any inquiries about the public instance.
To experience this bot as it was initially intended, host an instance yourself for private use. I might make a YouTube video for noobs showcasing how to run it locally on Windows and host it on a Linux VPS. If you made a tutorial or wrote a guide yourself in the meantime; lmk so I can link it!
If you don't want to go through all this effort, just sponsor the people behind aternos by buying exaroton and use the exaroton discord bot instead.
