Just informing the users, that due to the fact that I have saved files with scipy, sometimes it throws different errors with different libraries (pydub, torchaudio) that mostly revolve around the absense of meta data in header.

Though not a problem for me, this will be fixed by an mp3 / torrent version of the dataset.
In the meanwhile, you can use this.

We are receiving help from community to encode as mp3, it is surprisingly slow

So far several people confirmed that they will seed (4 nodes at least)

Has anyone from the first wave of downloaders compared wav with mp3?
As numbers / via model training?

As a standalone thing - we tested our trained model with low-quality (50 kbps) vs high-quality (160 kbps) YouTube and found very little difference.

Looks like at least 50 kbps mono is enough.
We packed mp3 with 32 kbps ...
