A detailed explanation of this will be done. To summarize; you can either use Docker inside Docker and set the DOCKER_HOST to the docker engine. Or you can bind the docker socket to your container when running the integration tests. By default, this should run without any problems with CI services that use DIND like Travis CI.
If you are writing your tests with your Typescript, you don't have to choose between this library and ts-jest.

If you have a complex database setup with tables/schemas that needs to be created, plugins that needs to be enabled as well; this is where this library shines more. You can create a custom docker image, and push it to docker hub or your own registry. Your own image with the configuration of database already done will be used. Which is harder to do if you use a library that spawns an in memory database.
