I have tried Sildurs and a variety of other shaderpacks to find that lightning does not render when shaders are installed . This occurs in all minecraft versions of Optifine installed in Minecraft .

Has anyone found a solution ?

Would like to know if even lightning strikes and bolts are even possible .

I would like to point out that it is absolutely possible for lightning to be rendered with a shaders pack/mod. It is most likely just the creator not adding support, or maybe forgotten to include the rendering of lightning in their shaders. Here I'm using Oceano's Shaders Mod in the preview version of optifine 1.14 and lightning is definitely visible though it looks very static-y/fuzzy in my opinion

[Edit]: I did testing with the Sildur's pack recently. I had no issues with the lightning rendering and it seemed to work perfectly well (besides me using an unstable version of optifine). Here's a picture of me using Sildur's shaders

It may be something else on your side. Either there are colliding arguments the with rendering calculations for the lightning effect or it could be an entirely different thing from what I'm saying. Either way you can ignore my sayings in this because I'm not an expert , but this is what I came up with. Hopefully someone who is more advanced in this area can help with this problem.

I discovered that visible lighting depends on the resource pack , On minecrafts default pack with shaders , lightning is black

Shading should be disabled for lightning texture , but those flashs of light should affect the lighting and shading of surrounding blocks

It's still an issue for me in the preview 1.15.2, but it seems to be fine in the latest 1.14.4 release.
